(4) Recreational vehicles (RVs) may be registered for human habitation for a maximum period of seven (7) days, which may be extended for a maximum of seven (7) additional days, during one (1) calendar year at a specified location if the resident of the adjacent property at which the motorhome parked has first received a permit from the county. The county will contact approved properties before the ordinance expires, said Mitch Nickolds, director of the county code administration. To legally house an occupied RV, owners must complete a county permit application that includes a basic site plan, the dimensions of the RV, and the location on the property. They must give the county written consent that an RV is on their property. Properties are limited to an occupied RV and the vehicle must be connected to drinking water sources, sewage systems and electricity.

Park activity and residents will not unreasonably disturb or impair the safety, peace, comfort and tranquility of private owners. (c) “recreational vehicle” (“motorhome”): a unit of vehicle intended primarily for recreational camping or tourist traffic and which has its own propulsion power or which is mounted on another vehicle or towed by another vehicle.
