Suzanne Last Stone & Ari Mermelstein The book provides an introduction to many important theoretical aspects of the English legal language as well as some practical exercises. English for Law was written to meet students` needs to learn English for specific purposes. This book is intended to offer the opportunity to develop students` English skills in a more communicative and meaningful way in an academic context. It consists of twenty-eight units. Each unit has reading, writing and speaking sections. The reading section consists mainly of reading aloud, reading comprehension and vocabulary exercises related to the subject of the text. However, some reading sections contain additional authentic texts and their exercises. The Scripture section presents some sentence structures and patterns from the simplest to the most difficult exercises. In the meantime, templates and examples are provided to students in the lecture section, followed by hands-on activities presented in a variety of ways. The material was compiled and evaluated according to the language level of the students.
