The North Carolina State Bar`s Rules of Professional Conduct state that attorneys must strive to provide at least fifty (50) hours of pro bono service each year without expecting fees for individuals with limited resources or for organizations focused on the needs of individuals with limited resources (NC RPC 6.1).
