Prior to founding his own law firm in 1996, Mr. Merritt served as Assistant Vice President of the Franchise Law Division at Coldwell Banker Corporation`s headquarters in Mission Viejo, California. Mr. Merritt graduated from the University of California, Hastings College of Law, San Francisco, California in 1985.
During his combined 13 years as Deputy General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel for Denny`s, Inc., Mr. Geiger was responsible for the preparation, negotiation and finalization of Denny`s circulars and franchise agreements, and oversaw the final review and approval of all of the Company`s real estate documents. including sales, leases, construction and financing. He also served as senior real estate advisor, overseeing contract negotiations and managing Denny`s acquisition of several other restaurant chains. M. Geiger also served as deputy general counsel at Coldwell Banker & Company, now known as “CB Richard Ellis”) in Los Angeles. He graduated from Loyola University School of Law in 1975.
