Caroline holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Maine and has since traveled and worked nationally and internationally in the field of ecology. She recently received a Certificate of Completion in Conservation Actions: People, Land and Animals from the State of Colorado with a focus on communications. Throughout her career, she has focused on small mammal ecology and habitat relationships in large-scale landscape studies. Recently, her career has changed to focus on how conservation careers impact their employees and how recruitment efforts can create more inclusive spaces in the environment. Outside of her career, she is a hiker, kayaker, backpacker and avid reader! Geology at the University of Minnesota, Morris. During spring break, he travelled west to hike and camp in national parks. Outside of work, Deidra is involved in several initiatives to create justice in nature – locally and beyond. His hobbies include hiking with the dogs Cairo and Neri, boating, incredibly amateur photography (Deidra`s words!), playing the viola and zipline. Olivia looks forward to working with ACE because she is passionate about conservation and direct service. For as long as she can remember, Madison has deeply loved wildlife and nature. Her story with ACE began as a ranger education and interpretation intern in Cades Cove, Great Smoky Mountains National Park. She continued her work with ACE as a team leader for a vegetation research project on federal lands around the Great Smoky Mountains, and then as a community engagement coordinator at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park headquarters. With a strong background in ecology and conservation, as well as environmental education and awareness, she is excited to take on this new role as a recruitment specialist for American Conservation Experience to help other future conservation professionals find their career paths through the National Park Service. Because Madison has lived and worked in such diverse ecosystems, she enjoys a variety of outdoor recreational activities, from surfing and kayaking to hiking and camping. She also enjoys horseback riding, animal writing and photography, and all the activities she can do with her two favorite companions – her fiancé and her dog.
